I’m planning on coming up to camp out Friday night, enjoy breakfast on Saturday, and if the trail is conducive to my van making it on the run. Skidplates on everything now.

I dropped by RBBC today. The camping area looks good. Ready for some campers. Just needs some fire wood cut. Dig out the camp fire ring. Bring your chairs.
Did notice some fresh bear tracks in the sand near the fire ring. Thought it was mountain lion, but it looked up. Definitely a bear track. If it was Yogi , the Bear, make sure your picnic baskets are secured before bed time, Just saying..........

As mentioned, I plan to arrive before the sun sets on Friday and camp. I don't think I will be able to do the Saturday run but that sounds fun!

For Sat morning breakfast, I will scramble up some EGGS for the group to add to the Pancakes and bacon.
I will lead a 4x4 ride sometime after breakfast, if anybody is interested. Route will be based on what vehicles are going.

We plan on being at camp Fri afternoon, I will bring my chainsaw and join the trail run in “Betty” the 80!
Curious if there is cell reception anywhere near the campsite?. I will need to check in on the wife and biz.
I remember that Cell service is good, near the campsite area, but not right at the campsite, for my phone, at least. There is a cell tower very near the turn off , off of HWY 550. You can see this tower on the west side of HWY 550 .
A short drive from the campsite back toward this turn off/Hwy 550 junction should give you good cell service.
Some of us have Wilson cell boosters that might help.

I also plan to have my starlink set up and assuming it works, you are welcome to connect to the wifi and us it to communicate from your truck. With good sky (which is not perfect at the bowl, I can get over 250 mbps. cheers!
No you need to leave the Starlink at home. I've had two people recently tell me I need this (the mini) for my adventures. I don't want to see it. I don't want to be tempted.

Gabriel and I will be heading to RR for a doc appointment at 10:30-11:00 then shopping at Natural grocers on 528 then heading to camp. Should be leaving Rio Rancho around Noon, once fueled with food and gas, if anyone is leaving around that time, we could team up and find camp together!
We only have GMSR, hopefully we will not need to call out to anyone.
