cover for wiper motor

The later fj40 wiper motor covers all the same? will a 78 cover fit a 79 or 80?
Are the motors the same. The motor mounts on the lower r/h side of the windshield.

I do remember something when I had to find a new wind shield frame for my 82. Found a 79 frame and either the cover didn't line up with the holes and cover the motor or holes lined up and motor wouldn't fit. Think I ended up using the 82 motor and having to redrill for the cover. I know you're asking about a little earlier, but that is what I ran into.

is there much difference in how far they come out from the window through the years? my cover looks to long to put the windshield down.
