I just bought my first LC (a 60) a couple weeks ago.

What is the button to the left of the steering wheel that clicks in and out of the dash? (it looks like a little vent).

Also what is Teq? Is it a parts manufacturer? I saw something in the engine compartment that had Teq, Aisan on it...

Thanks

Hmmm. I had not hought about aftermarket--it could have been to anything.

Here is a picture.

Thanks again--I figured the Teq had to be something mundane.

Wow, that is a funky button. Maybe it's missing a cover?

Check the wires (if any) coming off the back and see where they go...

I don't think thats stock although it is "rectangular"
"Toyota" is far from mundane... at least all of my cruisers are:D

could be the Oil Slick button.

or

maybe the cover just came off and it's for your off road lighting etc.

you're gonna find lots of cool stuff when you look around. there's even a plug in for a little work light under your glove box.

That looks more like a place to keep change for tolls than a switch.

I vote for either...

a) Flow-thru air freshener vent
b) rocket launcher
c) gumball dispenser button, gumballs are dispensed into the ashtray
