couple of FJ questions??

Yesterday at the car show I noticed the FJ only had a drivers seat armrest and the pass. seat didn't - asked sales guy why - he said he didn't know - I have noticed in various web interior pics that both seats have them - what's up? this was the ''C'' package as well so you think they would have both.Also wonder how rear hatech window opens?? - with key in rear door perhaps? - there appeared to be no release on dash - anyone know? Finally was told that roof rack and side steps were standard on loaded or ''C'' package - too bad they wouldn't give a discount if you didn't want them as I prefer not to have either.

I suspect the FJC roof rack will become the icon that identifies the FJC like the rack on the Xterra. If you've ever seen an Xterra without the rack it looks weird. The FJC rack (unlike the 80 series rack) is heavy duty, appears to fit well (need to see how it is mounted) and if I remember correctly, it is aluminum alloy so it should be light and strong.

I believe the armrest on the PS is an option. It may also be an accessory that could easily be added but I'm not sure on this.

The steps are probably like the running boards on an 80. For a lifted mall cruiser they are nice but they are worthless once you take it out of the parking lot.

The PS armrest and roofrack can be had as PPO's or bought from the dealer for dealer install or DIY. There is no dash release for the rear window - key only.

magnet they are installed here probably by the port to start. if you do order you can just ask them not to install the rack and deliver it separately. I'll buy it off you. I want one but ordered a base model.

sorry magnet, i did not get an fj in the end and it won't fit on a honda fit!
