I saw these today on another site. Check out how big it is compared to the people. Word has it that it will be 400 hp w/ 475 lbs of torque. I assume it will be here soon since you can get the current Tundra for 60 months at 0.0%

This one will replace the access cab--the standard cab and crew cab have yet to be seen.

I figured on getting an 03 100 but this may be hard to pass up for the same price.

I don't think I could buy one, just too ugly IMHO. Tacos are the same. Ist they were too vanilla, now they are too ugly. Toyota needs to hire some new designers to work with their engineers. On the other hand, the FJCruiser is starting to look better and better.

it looks too "american" for my tastes...
it should look more like a 79 series but then that would satisfy the masses either...

am I wrong or is that a 5 lug wheel patern? 2wd? The tires do seem small as well. Is it possible that it really is a dodge?

That looks aweful....Toyota, though, has to unfortunately please the masses--ie: needs to create a vehicle that looks like an F150/Dodge Ram.....

    Too bad.

I doubt I will be getting one of those.

A Yaris is more in my future....

I'm relieved it is ugly, and yes, it is 5 lug and current Tundra owners are pissed about it.

Anyways, I'm relieved because I don't have the urge to upgrade. Looks like I'll have my first year first gen Tundra for a long time. Still running strong.

But I'll agree with Cdan, I'd love that engine over the 4.7. As for the diesel, there has been speculation that it is going to get one as early as '08.

I guess that means I will be seeing those TirdMonsters around soon. Seems like every other socker mom gets the newest truck as soon as they are out in my Area.

Just like the FJ C. I hve come side to side with about two dozen of those things in the past two months, and not one of them seem to relize my fj40 is a distent cozen of their new SUV. One stupid chick thought I was hitting on her as I tried to explain. UGG. Still trying to get one of those suckers to race.

Sorry off the subject, but I would love to get a new FJC and cut the top off.:bounce:

When that gets a diesel I will buy it.

Bad part is I doubt I'll get employee pricing plus incentives and 0% financing. All of which the big three will have to offer to sell a truck once Toyota has a diesel available. Oh wait, they are offering most that to sell them now...

My thing is I live in Mexico and having something big is good life Insurance. My 80 is fairly big but I want something I can run up to the border on a few times per year--the 80 has 4.88's. What are my choices a 100--would like bigger. So that leaves a suburban, Ram 2500 with a diesel, or the new Tundra. The Ram has so many incentives that I'm tempted but I would really like the Toyota reliability. The new Tundra doesn't look like a cruiser nor is it built in Japan but it is sure is big.
