I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now… Went to Costa Rica for the Honeymoon in 08’ and I couldn’t help but take many pictures of cruisers I saw. I did see at least 5 FJ40’s that were converted to Tow-Trucks, but every time I saw one the camera wasn’t handy, or I didn’t have it. We traveled to 4 different points in the country so I got to see many of them.

This is a small sample of the cruisers I saw, Most are from a moving car so please excuse any blurriness!
ENJOY. :)

Oh the toys are from a driver that we happened to have twice. The first time he saw how much i liked cruisers, so the second time he knew he was going to be driving us again, so he brought these toys along to share..thanks Carlos!

Thats awesome, I was in Costa Rica in 08 too, and my girlfriend would get so annoyed that every ten seconds, I would scream out

"There is another one!" or

"OOO, look at that one!!!"

Man, that was a great vacation....

Anyone know what that reddish/orange one is? With the paneling on the sides

went down there in 02 for a couple of weeks. cruisers everywhere......

my favorite was a 45 LWB truck coming towards us on the highway with two mules in the back. i have a pic of it somewhere. outta dig it up.

I was down there in 06. Same thing I was like Look! Check that one out! Giving all the landcruiser drivers a \000/ out the window. Good times down there.

Was there this January and the camera was packed away on the hour trip from the airport to Los Suenos. Came across many of 40's but the most memorable was a fj-40 tow truck. The sport fishing is ridiculous down there. Makes you not want to fish any where else. Los Suenos is a gated golf coarse community that has over a dozen restaurants all accessable with golf carts and one place nicer than the next. If interested, pm me for info on the charter capt.

Leaving tomorrow and will be in Costa Rica for 9 days. We are spending the first 3 days around Arenal, and then going to Tamarindo to relax at the beach. I plan on keeping the camera ready for cruiser pics at all times. We were going to do the Jungle tour in a Cruiser at Tamarindo, but they closed shop a couple of weeks ago. Just my luck.

I just returned. Spent our time near the volcanoes and the carribean side. What a great place. The forests were fantastic. Zip lined and repelled down waterfalls. Saw cruisers but they are not in abundance anymore due to 6.00 plus fuel. I do have a friend there and his sister is in the export business. Was hoping to see Paul Pilgrim but did not make it over there, next time I will. Anyone wanting to import a cruiser pm me, its not cheap but very do able. Cant wait to go back . Mike

I guess Costa Rica is popular with cruiserheads. I'm going tomorrow! I'll post pics of any cool cruisers I see.

Always wanted to go to Coasta Rica, I hear the kiteboarding is unreal! This destination is next on my list. That zipline sounds like it is right up my alley.

if I could find steady enough work... I'd live there in a heartbeat!

Great pics, nice trucks, love all those diesels,......... wait...... I live here !!!:lol::lol:
