correcting for castor on a D60 (1 Viewer)

Camber vs. caster, I get confused which is which- I think I am talking about caster.

After I install my new D60's, how do I check/correct the caster. I would guess I can use a magnetic angle finder but where do I put it(on top of the knuckle?)? What is the appropriate angle(36-40 inch tires on a 103inch wheelbase)? Can I adjust with shims and if so, where can I get em cheap?

I checked Bellevista's site but didn't find an answer.

You can't adjust the camber (outward tilt of the wheel) of a solid front axle, so you are indeed talking about caster. The most accurate way to measure the caster is with an angle finder on a piece of pipe fitted through the upper and lower king pin bearing races. If the bearings and knuckles are already installed, the next best bet is to just place the angle finder on the flat top of the king pin bearing cap. Six plus or minus 2 degrees (backward tilt) is a good value for a D60. If you need shims, make sure to use steel ones.
