Based on previous LC nomenclature, shouldn't the "proper" name for The FJ Cruiser actually be GRJ 120? The motor is a 1GR-FE and it is built on the Prado platform (120). I have noted that Toyota labeled the vehicle "GSJ15". Why? Tell me what you all think!
 
maybe because they cut the fram down and put IFS on it
 
Already had IFS on it, no change there.
 
the 2wd version is a GSJ-10 so the number indicates the drivetrain. they did not call it a landcruiser so i suspect they are not following the landcruiser numbering pattern. you should to the codes for camrys and the like to figure out what is up.
