I replaced my themostat and coolent, burped the system but it still wants too run hotter than it should.
I had the truck parked on a hill, both heater on highs, full fan.
all heater hoses are hot, no bubbles coming from the rad.
when I squeeze the heater hose at the rear of the valve cover
coolant moves up and down, again no bubbles??:bang::bang::bang::bang:
any help would be great, thanks. RAMZ.

Is it running hot at low speed, or on the highway, or both? If only at low speed, that would point towards the fan clutch. At high speed, perhaps the rad. Both, something restricting flow... :hmm:

OK Iam back

I went down the hill (about 7 miles) to get a fan clutch. napa had one in stock. It ran cool until I headed back home at which time it ran normal. Right dead center. I stoped at ace hardware
on the way home when I slowed down to make my turn the
temp went up.two blocks later It was not in the red but close to it. It didnt over heat but I could hear the rad squirting coolant into overflow bottle. I let it cool 15min, started it up and drove up hill 3.5miles home and it ran normal????
ROC DOC dose this soumd like a fan clutch to you?

If the LOWER rad hose is hot (close to upper hose)
that starts to impugn the radiator... this is one of those times
that the IR temp gun (that you bought for $30 from Harbor Freight)
really helps!
