Coolant Temperature Range (1 Viewer)

Can someone give me some idea of cold vs. normal vs. hot ranges
for coolant temperature? I just installed a temp.
gauge, but I'm not sure what is normal and when I should
start to be concerned.

185-195 should be "normal" with a max "normal" of 205ish. Above 230 and bad things start to happen. Where you mount the sensor also makes a difference, the head is gonna read hotter(about 5-10deg) then the t-stat housing.

I was running as high as 238 deg F right before I blew another engine. :whoops: Was watching it via OBDII.
