Hey all....

I've got a coolant leak here getting progressively worse. I beleive it is coming from the base of the solid pipe attached to the water pump that feeds the top of the head. My question is...before I pull this apart I would like to know what to expect of the sealing method used. I would assume the base is an Oring sealed by compression and the top is a gasket seal. Correct? Also should I assume there will be coolant in that pipe even though the vehicle has been sitting a while? This seems like a simple fix, unless there is something more serious here I'm not seeing.

You are correct, but what is that I see leaking down the side of the head?

Also the thermostat, horizontal water pipe gasket, inner housing gasket, as well as both o-rings, and the top of the pipe gasket all need to be done.

Get both o-rings for the short inner connector pipe.
