Over and over I thought that I want to replace my worm drive clamps for constant spring ones. It takes along time until new hoses have finally set and don't need a retighten every now and then. I have to admit that Iike the oem wire clamps for their classic look and otherwise good funktionality.
You definitely want (need) to own the special tool to fit and remove the spring clamps though.
Keep the clamps coming !

special tool? no, I just use slip pliers and a 45-degree needle nose is all you need.

i guess if you really want one one of these would be helpful for the larger radiator clamps

Knipex make an interesting set of multigrip pliers for these style clamps. In tempted to buy a set.

Don't know if knipex are available in USA. They make high quality tools IME

I ground a groove into the jaws of a stout pair of bull nose electrician's pliers using a 1mm zip disc. (Groove is parallel to the end of the jaws)
They work great if you can get reasonably square on to the clamp. The groove helps the end of the clamp tabs nicely.
In awkward spots they aren't as effective. Also can't grip radiator hose clamps. The jaws don't open enough
