I have a question that I haven't seen addressed yet, and I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Cruiser Solutions is putting a 1Hz in my FJ62. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions when I finally get it BACK. (I'm a TLC newbie in name only until Tedd finishes his work). The burning question I have right now is whether there's going to be any hassle about registering my new wagon.

It seems pretty straightforward here in CT. They have a form for a "Composite Motor Vehicle". The DMV requires a safety inspection as well as emissions.

Our state hasn't adopted the CA emissions standards for diesels, so I think I'm OK there. Other than that, anything I should look out for?

Here in CO, you get different answers depending on who you ask. It's either a big deal with an inspection and crap, and have to meet a bunch of EPA standards (same as California), or a no-brainer where you get a VIN inspection and emissions test, and they change your title. Seems like a crapshoot. We'll see how mine goes in a while. :)

Well... if you want to be SURE to pass emissions then fill it w/ 100% biodiesel. You'll pass with flying colors. Otherwise regulations on engine swaps differ from state to state. I have no idea what the rules are in CT. go BIO!
