Bought my fj-40 without a fuel vapor condenser or a charcoal canister... no wonder it reeks so bad! My question is... how does this all hook up, and where? The breather hose that I assume goes to the charcoal canister has been fitted with a perfectly good stick by the PO. Classy :D

Any help would be great, as always. If you've got good parts you want to sell me, I'm on the market for the condenser and can.

Thanks all

Good question! I just bought my first FJ-40 this week, and have the same issue. New polyurethane tank has no breather/canister whatsoever, he leaves the gas cap cracked to prevent a vacuum from forming.

My '77 fj40 also needed a C.C., so based on advice here, I bought a vc120 from AutoZone ($55) and modified the brkt. Problem solved!
