This is more of a curiosity and a hard thing to search for:
Anyone aware of or taken the time to compare the head gaskets across the range of toyota 6 cyl gas and diesel engines? For instance I know a 3FE head bolts onto a 2F engine and vice versa. So I wonder how a 1FZ-FE or a 2H or any of the other diesels compare. I of course understand the differences that exist between diesel and gas and pushrod and overhead cam etc. Just curious to see if cylinder spacing, head bolt holes, coolant and oil passages line up etc. I know on some other cars the early engines blocks stayed the same while the heads etc evolved.
