with no key???? :frown:

anybody got any tips?

i know it's easy with a key, but i don't have one. also, tried a screwdriver, to no avail.

What year? I was told that any older key would work in my 76 FJ40. I ordered a whole new ignition cylinder w/keys to be safe. Get it and the new key fit into the old cylinder no problem.

Moral of story - use someone's key from a similar year or make a copy. I can send you one if you want.

Borrow your friend's Cruiser keys and try them. I've had several different ones work in my ignition. Otherwise, a locksmith can pick it for you for around $15. I just did this last week.
