AUGUST 6-7 we will be having some out of staters coming to visit our colorfull colorado.
looks like a group from chicago will be out then and also some of the good o'le boys from texas should be in the area.

already got the confermation from the chi town group for aug 6-7.
can we get a good sized meet and greet going?
we have a realy good size park in castle rock, but was thinking maybe getting alittle more centraly located.
so that we could get some of the northen guys to come down(TJ, FJBEN,ECT)
ANY IDEAS OF A DENVER LOCATION?

i was thinking of clement park, over at wads and bowels in littleton.

any other ideas, maybe somewhere in the mountians, not to far out of town.
    EVERGREEN?

    input please!!

    another place to think about

on your way out of morrison there is a park west of ( i can't think of the little town) but the park is "LAIR OF THE BEAR"

i think it would be big enough, lots of room, fishing, hiking, mountian lions

Depending on how many people, Mt Falcon park is very nice too, not alot of picnic tables, but very beautiful overlooking Denver, can walk/bike around, etc. (Just up US285 about 15 miles West of Denver). Up there we also have the advantage of getting struck by lightning...then eaten by a mountain lion.. :D

Clement park is big and nice, but nothing really 'there', just in the middle of the city, you can walk around the lake there, but that kinda sucks and there will probably be ALOT of people...course if anyone is drawn to the morbid things, being that close to Columbine school might be a selling point for some (Clement park sits right next to Columbine HS, it's the park the kids were running out into when they were getting out of the school).

mt falcan gets a lot of weekend traffic in summer though...also might be a bit hard to find for the outta towners. would be nicer than something in the city though.

what about that park off santa fe in englewood (just west of where rocky mountain cruisers used to be...also west of high country 4x4)

Evergreen would be nice. There is a good park just outside of town, "Dedise Park" Cant remember how big it is. Right next to evergreen lake. Easy enough to get to from I-70, and 285. In case you wondered, the Dedise family is the care takers of or property in Evergreen. Anyway, hope that helps.

Why not set up at Cheeseman?

Lair, outside of Kitteridge, would be great I would think, built in grills, the creek, the option of quite a few miles of hiking/walking trails, lots of parking. Stopping by red rocks and the dinosaur tracks on the way out could be great for people who've never seen the like.

    God, I miss Colorado.

I know a great park here in Colorado. There is an East and a West side and the biggest section is separated by the continental divide. :D

I agree with no dealership...who all is sposeto come, is this centrally located thing a big deal? I agree that having everyone drive 1-2 hrs and BadFJ and I can walk there would be slightly unfair, but curious who all is coming.. :D

I was thinking of heading down to Silverton a day or two early, but this BBQ is mess'n up my schedule, so it better be worth it! :D

all who think they can make it,lets hear from you

we need some of the boulder,ft collins crew to make it too.

I am sure I could make it.........just need to hurry up and get that clutch job done and actually get it back on the road. Wouldn't want to show up in the Durango and get yelled at.
