Color of plate behind seat ?

Hi All,
I have a 1984 FJ40. I want to know the OEM stock color of the metal plate at the back of the driver seat.
If 1984 information is not available then any year information can be helpful. Thanks.

There are a few places that sell rattle cans of the color, but none of them are an exact match. I don't think there is a code floating around for the exact match either. This is your best bet if your going for an accurate match.

AFAIK, the seatback panels are always the pewter color, same as instrument cluster & glovebox door.

x2, tt should be the same color pewter. There was a thread in here, I think this one that has some pretty close matches.

Mine match the roll bar. This is the best picture I could find. I think the pewter is for the 78 and older models.

Oh yeah, 919 is right. The later seats with adjustable backrests are grey, not pewter silver.
Forgot they actually changed the seats in later models...
