My '71 and '76 FJ40s both have '76 2Fs with FJ60 distributors, coils, and igniters. I have small cap non-US and '68 and earlier points distributors w/internal condensers as trail spares. To run one of my FJ40s with a trail spare do I simply disconnect the igniter from the coil and connect the distributor to the coil like the stock set-up? Will the points distributors run OK with the FJ60 coil?
