I think everything is OK for Cruiser Days, although I have not heard any details about the wheeling after the event. Any info? Mike? Sopal?

COASTAL CRUISER MEETING AUGUST 9,07

The usual suspects met at the Spike at 6:00 PM for grog and pub grub. The meeting got underway about 8:00 pm at EBI Cruisers with the following members present: Mike N, Mike McT, Phil S, Aaron K, Rod McD, Paul K, Malcolm M, Sopal, Drew E, Craig E, Justin VanH, Greg VanT, Marcin C, Dan M, Rob Millson, Gary T, Steve T, Mat R, Rob C, Martin S, Jeff S, Andrew A, and Bill W.
Guests included: Bruce L from Alberta, James M, and Tomeka from Poland.

1) First item was tall stories from Whipsaw. Craig got stuck in the mud pit and pulled out by a (egad) Land Rover. Winston diving into the mud pit and climbing back into Drew’s FJ Cruiser. Phil pulled out a Suzuki. A tall yellow Suzuki gets rolled over on trail between Cruiser Lake and Wells Lake, nobody hurt. A quad and bike got stuck in mud pit. One of the Princeton Good Old Boys got stuck at Wells Lake mud hole too. Millson’s pre-bed mating call of bellowing belching beer burps. Falcon Hill winchings. A good time was had by all with very few mechanical problems. Gotta love that Whipsaw trail!
2) Cruiser Days details were worked out and every one knew what they had to do.
3) Cruiser website badly needs upgrading. Kim and Garry B are working on it and James M offered to help design a new website.
4) Labour Day run on September 1-3. Sopal suggested Tskeso Lake and somebody else suggested beyond the Pemberton area. So far Rod, Steve T, Jeff, Drew, Aaron and Martin have expressed interest and they will have to butt heads and figure out where they want to go. Usually Labour Day weekends we stay closer to Harrison due to rain and “ify” turnouts.
5) Congratulations to Phil and Drew for getting their HAM licenses. Who is next: Aaron and Mat? Paul & Mike McT?
6) New member Andrew A was welcomed into the club. He has some ideas about getting the word out about Cruiser Days 2008.
7) Raffle: thanks to Malcolm for donating the cordless drill and flexible light. Thanks also to Phil for the 3 map CDs. Sopal will buy the September raffle prizes. Here are tonight’s prizes and winners:
Rotary tool kit – Marcin
Cordless drill – Craig
ComeAlong – Mat
Brad Nailer – Bill
3 map CDs – Martin
Saws – Mike N & Aaron
Seat cover Bib – Paul
Camo tarp & big dust pan– Mike McT
Camo tie-downs – Sopal
Bug Zapper – Steve T

The meeting broke up about 10:00 pm to the roar of passing freight trains and clattering 3B valve trains. Further up the street the snooker balls went down hard and so did the golden swill nectar over at the Spike. Next meeting September 13.
