So I went to Napa and got the “Japanese one” not OEM but anyways thought the guy was spot on I got it and today I’m looking at it wondering what the heck the rubber black arm is that goes perpendicular on the right side (pics below) - my OEM on the vehicle currently doesn’t have that. Maybe incorrect year the guy gave me or what? Not sure what it is ... thx for any guidance on this - need to replace - sucking in air bubbles and can’t change gears well.

Drain tube. Should be hollow. Install it so it points down.

I just put an Aisin slave cylinder on mine a month ago. It has the same tube, only smaller.

Really because I’m pretty sure mine is Aisin too and I do t see any tube whatsoever other than the black accordion looking part on end ... drain what? Just random extra fluid or something for bleeding because my understanding is the fluid is drained via bleeding from the nipple in front

just wanted to make sure it was correct

Ok I’m installing today - I’ll take pics when I’m done for reviews ... I have to go grab an 18mm flare wrench to get the Detach tube off original
