Hi,

So my local Toyota says a clutch master cylinder for my BJ70 (w/booster) is obsolete. My clutch master is leaking, and apparently it's not very old.

Have people had good luck with the rebuild kits lasting?

Is it possible to remove the clutch booster, and then install a clutch master cylinder made for trucks without a clutch booster?

Thanks!

I searched in my bills ...

The BJ70 cluth rebuilt kit : 04311-60042 List Price: 55.80 (Jan. 2007)

I am very satisfied ... no problems since. I do not know how much time I push the clutch since ! ;) +/- 30 000km.

OEM (rebuilt) parts are always very good.

No.....

To resleeve you need to take it clutch and brake specialist, unless you know how to do it yourself. Shouldnt cost as much as a new master. When you pull the master for a rebuild check the bore (inside of the master). If it is pited or scratched get a re-sleeve. Mine had minor pitting but I didn't bother with the re-sleeve. Still going strong after 10,000k's:)

Well, I ended up going with a new clutch master from Radd Cruisers, as my old one's bore didn't look and feel so hot. Just got it installed this morning. Quick and easy, and it feels great!
