Watch out, I'm coming!

may be able to get the springs here if you guys are willing to help walk me through the 2.5 OME install (Finally!!!) no castor correction yet though. Will probably pay Jason or someone to toss those in a later date.

are they really needed with the 2.5"?

As long as the truck isn't a rust bucket the install is easy. Why no CC bushings? Yes they are needed.

I guess I could try to pick them up in time. Will we be able to install them at the shop?

Does anyone in town carry them?

I don't think anyone in town stocks them, they drop ship from ARB. Call Kurt from www.cruiseroutfitters.com he will set you up.

Dang, my wife is workin on the 25th so I need to try and find a baby sitter for the kids. Before I track down a sitter do you guys think there is going to be enough time/space for me to try and get my lift installed or should I try to beg for some help another time?

Has a location and time been determined yet ? I might swing by ;)

actually, this is Claudia posting - accidentally used Michael's log-in :grinpimp:

Depending on how many problems the install has, you should be able to put it on in a day. I recommend getting there early and starting with the rear, if you run into problems or it takes too long the front can be done later. IMHO this project rates lift priority.

Ok tools, sounds like a plan. I'll give the sitter a call.

With 3 or 4 wrenches this should be a relatievely fast install. The lift will deffinately make it EASIER.

[ anxiety attack ]

OK the more I am reading the how to's for knuckle rebuilds, the more stressed out I am getting. :frown: It looks difficult for even an experienced wrencher. I am a not-at-all wrencher. Think: someone who has trouble even identifying tools, and has never worked on anything, EVER. I'm starting to chicken out.

I'm afraid I'm going to crack open those suckers, get lost, screw something up, and end up leaving it jacked up for days on end, and have no way home.

So I am wondering if someone would be willing guide this complete n00b through the process, one on one, til the job is done?

If not, no worries -- I have other, smaller, more manageble little jobs that I can try my hand at instead. And I can back burner the knuckle job til I'm more prepared.

Knuckles are a big job for a first timer to get done in one day. I would recommend "other, smaller, more manageable little jobs".:D
