Talked to Jason at TruckWerks and nailed down the 25th for a club wrenching day.

Chime in here if you plan to attend. Let us know what you need to take care of so that we can make sure we've got the right stuff on hand to help out.

Things to bring...

Your tools if ya got 'em and prefer to work with them.

Any supplies you might need IE: Oil, Grease, Seals, Bearings

Your lunch and beverage of choice

Some patience and a good attitude!

We'll nail down the exact time and particulars this week.

I have no work I need to do now...unless I tear something up this month. I would be happy to assist others with anything they need to get done. AZAUSSIE mentioned he had a lift on the way. I would be happy to help if that will be done on wrenching day. I put the lift on my FJ40, so I would be familiar with the process....although the use of shop equipment should make things much easier.

I plan to be there - I've got some wiring to do and need to swap out my rear shocks.

I would love to bring the lift to club wrenchin' day. I am not sure of the expected arrival day but I sure hope it is before the 25th.

On a side note my wife just informed me that I never actually "joined" the club so I will take care of that ASAP.

Stuff at my shop

Here is a list of the things that i have in the shop:
Two 10k # lifts
Two floor jacks
Two sets of jack stands
Tig welder
Mig welder
Chop saw
Two grinders with cut of wheels and such
and more just can't think of it now.....

If any one would like me to get anything for them for the wrenchin day let me know.

Thanks,
Jason Bowman

I'll be there. I'm sure I can find something to do or help with something else.

Count me in. I have several things I need to tackle and help with diagnosing. I've been driving with a CEL for a couple of months -- had it diagnosed by a mechanic (friend of mine) as an EGR valve issue. Not sure of the code, but it seems like the typical issue others have had. I'm planning to buy a EGR valve and modulator from CDan and go from there.

I'm also getting an increasingly bad whine from my power steering pump. I'm open to suggestion here as to how to prepare for the wrenching weekend.

Also sounds like I may have a hissing noise coming from the right side of the engine block. I suspect an exhaust leak/cracked manifold? But I haven't been able to spot anything.

That should keep me busy for a while.

Well I too haven't officially joined but I will here soon. I would love to make this my introduction day to some of you guys if it's ok. It'll give me an excuse to finally crawl under and install those shocks (po'd because the springs were left in a storage unit in Atlanta when we moved so I'll need to wait on those) maybe rebuild my front calipers and possible go through with the Freeze 12 thing. I'd love to do a repack but I don't think I'll have the funds by then to do everything I want (wheel bearings, knuckle bearings, seals, etc)

Don't laugh at my tools though! Most of the real stuff is sitting in that same storage unit...but at least we had room in the truck for a ton of other junk sitting in the garage collecting dust!

Choice, choices

I'll be there too but I have to narrow down which part of what project I'll bring. Should have that dialed in by next week. I just wanted to respond for the head count.

Hey Tools or Jason,

Do you have a tool to remove a steering stabilizer?

If you don't care what condition the old one is when you remove it, a pickle fork is all you need.

I will try and come up too. I am thinking about just doing the fuel filter and getting my drive shafts dismantled, check the U-joints and lubed.

Hey Tools or Jason,

Do you have a tool to remove a steering stabilizer?

I have a tie rod end puller. Is a stock stabilizer?

I will be there, with both my junk's.
