Any thoughts or ideas on what we might want to do as a club? We do not have to do one that is across the country, it was nice to have most of the club participate, but I know not everyone can afford to make the big trips. Think about it and post up!

Here's the trip I'm thinking about taking next year. Any takers?:steer:

The Tacoma is interested, but I wonder if I can get away from work & home responsibilities that long. How many weeks do you think this will take? What month are you planning to depart?

That looks to be a fun trip. I would not go in March again!

Other options might be that place in Kentucky also.

I think Vince would agree. The trails there look challenging

TTORA Takeover 08 was conducted there.

I'm still in the planning stages and nailing down a retirement date is one of the planning factors. Dates and weather will influence, i.e., some areas of the Rockies will be inaccesible because of snow. Also, don't have to do the whole 4+K mile loop but can hook up on one of the legs. If time off is an issue I can write your CO a note excusing you from blowing stuff up.

We can hook up with an atlas one of these days and figure out what we really want to see/do and then prioritize. I'm not even certain yet exactly how much time and if I want to do it all in one trip. Thoughts?:hmm:

Also, looking at getting Sally Strothers to sponsor a National campaign for my truck. Did you know that for a just a couple bucks a day you could sponsor a deserving Tacoma for the installation of ARB front and rear lockers and regear the differentials? :hmm: Not only could you breath new life into a sturdy little truck but you would have the satisfaction knowing that IPOR wrenches would NOT be out on the street causing trouble. :grinpimp:
That would be good for the community, too.:bounce:

I seriously doubt I'd be able to do the whole trip at a leisurely pace with you, but I might be able to swing a couple of weeks. I've got a friend in Laramie I'd like to hook up with if he isn't deployed somewhere at the time. He knows the area very well and has a Tacoma like mine. I was out there last year in August and the weather was about perfect (for me). Bring your Atlas to the next meeting and we will have a sidebar.

A couple of the guy's down here near me have been to Kentucky sevaral time's and compare to being a little harder than Tellico. Plus it's not that far. I think Jellico and windrock are very close to Harlen also.

Sweet Jebus Mr. Bloo, do you realize any Struthers-capable vehicle will need to have at least 60's under it? Meathead's squeeze ain't no lil' hottie no mo'...BTW - congrats on your retirement, when do you officially punch out?

I'm in for at least they Kentuck leg of the trip, assuming I can mooch a trailer ride and find me a crawl box. As Mr. Kenny says, it shouldn't be near as far to Harlen as it is to Tellico or Windrock. Also, as you folks know, Cousin Rick's place at Windrock is always avail for midnight moonshine runs!:grinpimp:

True... She'a lot a woman now - like a metric ton a woman - keep you and a reinforced rifle company warm on those cold nights in Kabul. Retirement could be as early as APR 10 or maybe JAN 11. :hmm: Utlimately the Rocky trip will drive the decision; that and lockers, regear, and if Skrewball keeps using his Jedi mind-tricks, put a SC on my 3RZ. That and sneaking up on me at night and opening up the 80. I thought a flippin' F4 Phantom hit afterburner next to me on Route 3 one night! I'm still scrubbing brown stains out of the gray upholstery...

Harlan sounds like a winner and maybe a chance to check out my new lockers and re-gear?

i think i read somewhere, that if you go to Harlan with a 3RZ, it has to Supercharged.

............i'm just tellin you what i read, thats all!!!

There is absolutely no obligation and no salesman will visit you.

At IRON PIG you can get a supercharger or even 4 extra cylinders! Choose from any one of these options:

Supercharger - Turbo charger - 5.39 Gears - Ram Jet

Compare your present POWER to the POWER you could be making with anyone of these options. They will be repeated for you at the end of this post. So have your pencil ready to jot down the option you are most interested in. Then call the Iron Pig toll free number
sigpic6178_1.gif
and they will send you an Iron Pig Sticker absolutely free with all the information you need. Let them show you how easy it is to spend your money, tell you about the many success stories of other people just like yourself who went to Iron Pig and got more Power. And that is not all! You will also see the exciting mileage loss included in your upgrade at no extra cost. They make it easy and fun to get more power out of your Toyota. Here are those options again, so call today and ask for Vince.
