Clicking at FDS, is most often associated with a bad CV.. It mostly heard in turns. Very common when FDS have ~20k miles or more, driven at stock height. Then rig lifted, changing angle of FDS. Slee diff drops helps. But still very often within 20K miles the inner CV of FDS begins to click. This is due to wear in race and or tulip, where ball bearings ride. As angle changes with lift, they wear into new spot. In time the crossover point, starts clicking. We also can get pitting in ball, tulip and or race. This is mostly due to contaminates in CV lube.

My truck was already lifted and then I replaced the CV's with OEM 14k miles ago. The ride height was not changed. Any other suggestions on what to look at first other than checking snap ring fitment/condition?

BTW: When torqueing down bolts holding bushings. You want the vehicle at a neutral stance. With weight on tires is best, IMHO! Some just set LWR at neutral position, while in the air on jack-stands. But loading the bushing with weight of vehicle. Which, is required by some manufactures, for warranty of some shock.

I've heard one or more of these click, when not properly torque in with vehicle on the ground:
  1. Shocks lower bolt.
  2. Stabilizer LWR bolt.
  3. LWC bushing bolts.
I've set up with Race Ramps, to torque these:

I've also customized my floor jack, to increase lift just for them.

Good idea on the LCA brackets. Ok, so to throw a wrench in this I replaced the Drivers side CV axle thinking that was the culprit of the clicking. I took it for a long test BUT I am still getting a puttering clicky noise from about 5-25mph (so I thought, ok maybe the other CV is clicking and I need to replace that)....but I only hear the puttering-click when when my foot is on the gas accelerating. The clicking gets faster and as soon as I take my foot off the gas--no noise....but there is no noise revving in neutral....I imagine if I make a turn without accelerating and dont hear a noise but as soon as I hit the gas it cant be the CV....maybe the front Differential or something in the drive shaft? Im lost here.

"putter clicky" We express sound based on experiences. Perhaps a tick!

Trying to chase my own faint click- it’s definitely not spark plugs or cv axles, seems to be from the rear- get a little brake whine as well, and only in reverse which seems odd
