i just got done soaking my sliding windows in spray silicone grease overnight. then forcing them open. then lots of windex and q tips and paper towels and an old green brillo pad to scrub all the crap out from the rails.
then i applied some of this honda silicon product to the gaskets and now i am going lube the rails with some silicone spray lube again.
anyway i made these screens awhile back and i realized i could probably make a DIY template for them. not sure if anyone is interested or has constructive comments. i figure i could supply CAD, locate the magnets, supply a grainger part number for the magnets.
i may go as far as trying to find out if i can cut them and let someone DIY the magnets themselves. or maybe just release the CAD i suppose.
anyway some pics.

I did something similar for car camping, picked up a cheap pack of fiberglass screen material at home depot and used some magnets from Harbor Freight:

Probably a 0 banana and ~$10 DIY thing for anyone. You just cut the screen to size and glue the magnets on with your choice of adhesive.

yeah. i'm thinking if i could just put the shapes i made in CAD i could have someone cut them out.
then DIY is like 1/4 banana.
it's kind of a pain making your own templates is what i am thinking. and mine came out great so why not share the love.
