I am searching early for my next project. I want a 75 series troopy. I'm planning on building a camper project.

Open to year. Must be left hand drive. Clean body preferred. Would consider some body damage. Running or non running.

Abandoned project is fine.

Hzj75, bj75, ect.....

Good evening Indygbd,

I have sourced a 1996 toyota land cruiser hzj75 troopy with a/c. Check out pics: 114.28 MB folder on MEGA - https://mega.nz/folder/JItmxB5R#mfmyvBHyt41Amc9rnpqyrw

It has a very clean body. The driver and front passenger floorpans probably need to get new metal in there cause of rust. The chassis looks solid, no rust.

Price in Nicaragua: USD 26,000 plus 25 % fee vehicle sale price plus shipping.

Let me know your comments.

Cheers

Jorge

To the OP: what you're looking for is, as you probably know, somewhat hard to find. I have had pretty good luck sourcing cars in southern Europe (good climate and at least the chance of finding a car in decent condition). I just took a quick look and found this one currently for sale in the south of France for 25,000 Euro:

Seller claims one owner and only about 85000 miles, which is a plus. It's a PZJ75, so it has the 5 cylinder 1PZ diesel motor. Easy enough to swap for a 1HZ if you want to future proof it, or a 1HD-T or 1HD-FT if you want more go power. Above are the only photos from the ad, but I can already see that both front fenders and at least the right lower body look to have maybe been repainted for some reason. I'd want to ask the seller why. Also, it's still riding on split rims, which most people would opt to change, but that's no big deal. On the plus side, the photo of the headliner and rear interior panels indicate that the inside isn't too beat up, which many of them are. This one's from an area with a climate not conducive to rust, and the seller claims it doesn't have any, which I'd call a positive.

Don't be put off by the car being in Europe. It's over 25 so easy to import. PM me or read my thread in the "Importing" section of 'Mud to see how. BTW, I don't have any affiliation with the seller, I've never seen this car in person, and I don't know anything about it other than what's in the ad, which you'll find here:

I also don't import cars for other people anymore, but I'm happy to answer any questions about the process.

Thanks for the info. Going to hold off on building this project for now
