CIL VSC Track and VSC Off Lights (1 Viewer)

I was in the drive-thru and these lights popped on at the same time. The code is P0333, and it points to the Knock Sensor 2 Circuit High Input (Bank 2). I guess first attempt would be putting in some Premium fuel, but never had an issue before. I do not see how or why all three lights would pop on.

Not sure why but the 100 and other Toyotas with traction control systems disable the systems anytime there is certain engine or emessions related faults. I guess they don’t want to drive the vehicle hard and risk further damage so they disable these systems. Interestingly, this is how you can turn off traction control on these trucks, fool the ecu into thinking there’s a problem and it will turn off traction control.

The TRAC and VSC lights automatically kick on (ie, turn those systems off) with any powertrain DTC. Fix the DTC and those two lights will turn off.
