Just curious if it is safe (not draining car battery) to leave a usb phone charger adapter in the cigarette socket all the time instead of plugging in and out each time.

Works for me. It loses power with the key off.

Yeah, I left that part off, as long as it doesn't drain the battery once the key is out of ignition, that's good to know. Thanks.

My power sockets are mod’ed to be always on, and I have a USB changer plugged in all the time with no ill effects. unloaded the converter can be very efficient drawing hardly any power at all. I did remove the LED inside it, though, to save some milliamps.
