Wow the finished product is nothing like I would have guessed looking at the first couple photos. Great fab work.
Thanks. That was pretty much winging it from start to finish.

You should own a fabrication shop in addition to your powder coating shop...you know, because you have tons of free time!
It's strange because I did this at work, which is not so busy with the Covid 19 fun, but I have to be here. I can't get enough hours for work at home!

Start to finish was under 2 hours with interruptions though.

I'm going to do something different on the emblems. I have new oem emblems for the truck but Chunk is getting color matched parts. The "Land Cruiser" on the quarter panels were repainted satin black, then I rolled steel grey metallic on the raised letters with a foam roller. Turned out pretty nice. Now I can put the new oem parts on Little Red.

Dang ! They look better than the OEM I think. 👍
The grey should work with the wheels and the grey part of the side stripes. I hope.

Speaking of stripes, I talked with the shop today that is doing the blue/grey stripes for the sides. We are in Covid 19 lockdown til the end of the month but they said to have Chunk there on day 1 of reopening and I will be the first project through for them. That's great news!

More new trinkets today

Black powder coated door handles, new lights, 70 series mirrors

I was able to get the front end put together. I am finishing the AC later. Pretty much the focus is getting the truck driveable to get some shake down miles on.

Valence and new Denso condenser

I decided to go satin black with grey metallic 2 tone on the grille and headlight surrounds.

I think it will work well with the rest of the truck

The ARB went on for a last test fit. All was good so now I have to finsh the "body work" on it and get it coated.

I don't mind getting it dirty but I am dreading cleaning it back up! Ih8mud!

My 40 still has mud packed in it from last June at @Ocho77 's place.

Looks fantastic!

I hear you, mines not half as nice as yours and I feel the same way. We live 1.5miles down a dirt road and after the snow melted the other we got rain and mud. My wife said we are taking the cruiser I don't want to get the others dirty. At first I was like sweet, taking the cruiser, then I remember how I get mud EVERYWHERE! IH8MUD.
So using the works hot water pressure washer mulitple times a week. :D

That is such a crazy irony. My 80 is one of those trucks that looks sweet all cleaned and polished up and looks meh when it is dirty. I put all kinds of time in making it look good then don't want to take the dirt road back way to my house. Lame.
