Chrysler Engine Transplant (1 Viewer)

My son just acquired a Chrysler 360 out of a Ramcharger, and is planning on putting it into his '83 FJ60. Any suggestions, tips, warnings, etc. anybody can offer would be appreciated. Will he be able to keep the original manual tranny, or does it need to upgrade? Reputable sites to look for adapters? Thanks in advance.

I would check with Advanced Adapters to see what they offer for conversion parts before going too far into this. Line up the parts before you get in too deep. John

If it has a NV4500 there is an adapter for the stock tcase. AA 50-207 is about $600 (Advanced Adapters)

i dont know much about chryslers but isnt the 360 an extremely wide v might wanna eyeball that some to make sure there is clearance. it would be nice to see something other than the cookie cutter vortec swap (which i still like).
