Hi All!

Every year me and the fam take a day to go off roading/snow wheeling and cut down our own Christmas tree. We have always gone to the Medocino NF, but fires this year unfortunately wiped our spot. So we are interested in coming out your way to get a tree in the El Dorado or Tahoe NF. A couple years ago I called a ranger station up there and they said the best place to go was a half mile dirt road out by the dump. Not exactly what we are looking for! I'm wondering if anyone here would be kind enough to clue me in to some good spots to go find a tree. I'm in a second gen Tacoma on 33s so nothing too extreme, mostly want a pretty drive and a good day out in the woods with the family. Feel free to PM me if you don't want your secret spot to be public!

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to my Gold Country Brothers!

The wife and I went wheeling near Eagle Peak in Stanilaus NF a few weeks back after the first snow fall. You could try there too. If nothing else, it was just a cool place to visit.
