I have a 1978 federal aisin carb with what I think is a stuck choke breaker.
When I pull the choke, the throttle advances a bit as it should, but the choke plate doesnt move (stays open). All linkage is in place and appears OK. With the choke cable pulled, I can move the choke plate with my fingers quite easily. If I close the choke plate, it can just flop back open. Also with the choke cable pulled (so there is no pressure on the throttle position to choke breaker link), when I try to move the choke breaker link I can't.
FSM says when checking carb adjustment to check the choke breaker operation by moving the linkage, so I assume I should be able to do so. How far should it move?
