I've got a 350 mated to a Toy 4spd in a 74 fj-55. I've tried the longer travel slave cylinder with no luck. It works but not well. Can someone tell me the best flywheel, pressure plate, disc, thro-out bearing to make this thing shift smooth? I'm looking for whatever the parts are that they sell in the expensive kits.

what adapter are you using?

I ran a 350 to AA bellhousing to Toy stock 4-speed and ran a Centerforce Clutch, per their recommendation. NO complaints, worked great, well worth the lack of hassle...IMO...

I've got a low cone diaphgram, 11" clutch from a chevy nova in my rig. Using fj40 slave cylinder.

If ya have the funds, do it right. Follow Woodys advice and get the centerforce. It was designed specifically for this application and it really does work awesome.
