I just had the pleasure of having OTRAMM replace a rear wheel bearing ($600 list plus labor) on my '14. According to the parts guy at Toyota, the diff vent caps are notorious for clogging which builds pressure in the diff forcing gear oil out through the axle seals and bearing.
