check engine light after 300 mile day trip

So i took my wife my mom and dog for a drive yesterday and decided i would pour a can of BG 44k in the gas tank before we started. everything went well, and seemed to accelerate better.

Next day dont go anywhere till 5 @ night, get about a mile from home and the check engin light flickers and then shuts off, about two seconds later comes back on! What gives

95 127,000 miles never happened before

Im gonna get the codes read tomorrow, just wanted to vent.

Anything similar when using the 44K?

YUCK P0401 Sounds bad!


So what i am guessing is that the BG 44k loosened up a chunk of carbon and sent it into the EGR system! All i can think of being i put the stuff in right before the trip and magically after using the gas in the tank i got the code! Any other questions or comments!

Sounds like a coincidence.

Even if it's not, I don't really see any way it would affect your plan of action at this point.
