I have purchased a never-ending-headache of a 1985 Fj60. Currently dealing with a very rusty fuel tank and having trouble locating an aftermarket one thats not $1500. If anybody in VA has an extra tank (not rusted) they'd part out please let me know!
Seeking VA residents mostly because I assume shipping one would be more expensive than the tank itself.
Or someone could make a road trip out of it and meet me here, beer provided!

hey there - Good news, I have a cleaned / red kote'd fuel tank from an '85 that I just removed (replacing with 38 gal). Challenge - the tank is in Bend, OR.

Just so you know, there is an open recall on FJ60 gas tanks. Toyota must replace and install one free of charge. As of Monday, they still have them in stock (they are required by law to have spares available). I just got my 86 back with a new mill and am getting the recall completed in 2 weeks. To see if your tank has been replaced or is still open for the recall, check your VIN at Check for Recalls: Vehicle, Car Seat, Tire, Equipment
