The 62 has been sitting all year and the AGM gel battery is a champ and always starts up for me even when it's been sitting for months. Last night the gf's Jeep broke down so I gave her my daily driver 4Runner.
Pulled the landcruiser out this am and within 2 minutes the charge light came on. I stopped for gas and let the truck idle while I was filling up and when I hopped in the charge light was off (at idle).
As soon as I started driving and the rpms went up the charge light came back on. My commute is roughly 40 minutes and 10 minutes into the drive the charge light finally went off.
Question:
Would the charge light come on if my battery was low and the alternator was struggling to keep up with it?
The alternator is relatively new and the upgraded 80 series alternator if that helps.
