As the title says... Also, the tank is building up really high pressure. When I remove the cap it takes forever to bleed the fumes off. It has been pretty hot in OK this week, 99 with high humidity. Anything accessible that I can check, (camping this weekend).

Go to AutoZone

Ask for part number VC-120.

It's a charcoal canister for an old GM - costs $35-$40.

Replace your old canister. This one is bigger. There's a whole thread about it of course.

Correction, the VC-120 ranges to $59 in some parts of the country, Grand Junction, CO

Yes, I've seen that thread. Question, does the tank vent through the canister and into the intake manifold? I am not at all familiar with the emissions system. Could the canister be temporarily bypassed for the weekend? Otherwise I have to keep bleeding the tank off periodically.
 
the CC vents into the frame rail from a port on the bottom of the CC. If this is happening after driving the vehicle look to the engine running hot. The hot engine warms the fuel as it bleeds off the fuel rail which causes the fuel in the tank to expand excessively.
 
One other remedy is to try to locate real gasoline instead of the blended crap we are getting shoved down our collective throats. The evap system in the 80 was designed in the 1980s to deal with pure gasoline, not todays blended pretend gasoline.

Coolant Temp stayed in the low to mid 190's all weekend (99* ambient temp in OK). I bypassed the canister at camp and drove it that way the rest of the weekend with no adverse effects. The tank no longer built any pressure either. Maybe I should just leave it that way.

I have been using the ethanol free premium and have improved my fuel economy (~15mpg). I seem to have more seat of the pants power too.
