Hello everyone. I have a 72 fj40 that came with ambulance doors. I am currently in the process of replacing all the rear channels for the 75 up on the rear to accept the ambi doors. I put the doors away for years so I never paid attention to what year they were, or that there was a difference in the years. I have the 80 up, which have a large radius on the bottom outside of the door which will not match up with the channel I have. I know I can just JB Weld or something to make the radius on the channel for the WS, but I just don't like that look. I would love to trade for pre 80 doors, but that will probably not happen.
I came up with an idea, to just weld a corner onto the door. I have some 16 gauge steel that I can fold over itself to make the corners, then weld that to the radius outside edge. Wanted to get some thoughts on this?

I have and would be willing to trade, but just seems a daunting task.
