Change your FJammer greeting (1 Viewer)

So, I was browsing the other forum, and ran across this nugget

The message on startup on the FJammer can be customized. Similar to the color customization that you can do.

Steps are:

Turn Radio off

Hold text button for 5+ seconds until "text mode" is displayed.

Turn Radio on

push text button - "text mode" --Some people have said they pushed it twice.

push the audio ctrl knob You should get a blinking cursor.

turn the audio knob to change letter. Push knob to move to next letter. use <> to move back or forward.

When finished, hold the "1" button to store the text.

Turn vehicle off.

Turn vehicle on, new text should scroll by.

I think that nugget was fools gold. I just went out and tried this, including pushing the text button twice just to make sure... Even pushing multiple times and nothing. I get it to say "Text Mode" and if you do it again, it will say "Normal Mode" and the next time it will be "Text Mode" again. Could be a difference in radios? Bought my Cruiser last summer.

It says "FJammer" when it turns on. What 6 CD? Mine has a slot for 1 CD... Is there something I am missing here? Where do you load the other 5? Sorry, but I never even thought much about the radio since I bought it! I better get the manual out of the Cruiser and have a look.

Now It say's " Hi MONNIEPOO" instead if fjammer!

It still says FJammer, but now it has a message for my wife first.

Now that one you can get if you read the manual.

Sort of the same idea. radio off - push text until text mode is on - push on -- push text mode - push knob and hold to change all, or push once for just that one (some people have a different color for each mode).

It Works

It took a few tries, but I finally got it to work. Mine says "Ron's FJ Cruiser" when I start it up!
