I searched for this but, can't find any info on personal experiences with Champion Beadlocks. I am thinking of having my stock '97 wheels converted to beadlocks and was wondering if anyone had any feedback concerning Champion. I am interested in going with their C-3 design. Also, would you guys recommend powder coating before or after the installation of the beadlocks?

Thanks.

Yes, I ran them for years. No problems at all.

They held air fine. The vehicle was my DD.

I wouldn't powder coat them or the wheels as they'll get banged up in use (you do wheel where you actually need beadlocks, right ?). Simply rattle can them. Touchup is a breeze then.

Thanks for the assurance. I have yet to "wheel" the 80 as the build is not complete but, it will be "wheeled" aggressively. I was going to have the wheels powder coated and leave the beadlocks in plain stainless. Thanks again.

I have heard nothing but good things about Champion. I wheeedl a couple of times with a guy that had them on his mini in Johnson Valley and a couple of times on the Rubicon, those wheels got used. He never had a problem.

I would wait 'til after to powder coat, they will be welding on the rim to do the conversion.

can't comment on champion, but a friend runs allieds and has never had any leakage at all and he wheels his rig like a cruiser should be wheeled. just another option.
