We found 3.5 acres with trees = $20,000 - I am gonna offer $15,000
Narrow Gauge Train in Chama -
Shiprock on the way home this afternoon -
Changed out the radiator cap - never overheated!
very cool --
-- what's the lot size, frontage and depth?
-- what utilities at the road?
Phone and electric are 200 feet away -
Frontage is 255' / Depth is 650' (my approx)
Well will need to be minimum 80' - 150'
No covenants or restrictions - ten minutes south of Chama...
The hill in front is a fun one to climb in the 60 - but there is an easy back route into the property about 200 yards further - just a big loop -
We were there all morning - very private - other secluded cabins....
We just plan on putting our camper for the time being...
Thanks - the dog
Looks like a nice area. Ship Rock is way cool. Got close to it when we were out there a few years ago with my Dad.
A pic from Tom Tills Gallery on Ship Rock(thanks Tom Till...)
there are trees in AZ?
Isn't Shiprock in New Mexico?
Freightdog, that property looks like a great place to get back to nature ,very pretty.
The similar landscape to that shown in Windtalkers is outstanding, simply an amasing area.
Bullbar on the train gives me ideas also, ain't seen one like that on a cruiser.
Forests, trees, mountains, snow, etc.
Nice lot. I've been looking around Flagstaff myself. I want to put a Yurt on the lot. You going to offer them 75% of asking price huh?
Say Dog, maybe you'll take $7500 for your Cruiser
That looks really nice. Especially with the elevation . The bush looks a lot like what we have here strangely enough.
Shiprock looks pretty cool .. makes me want to get in the 80 and tear off on a road trip. The dream is still to take off for a month or so and tour NM, AZ, UT .. live in the desert for a while . .do plenty of shrooms (haven't had a good cry in years .. ;p )
Thanks all - !!
Yep Shiprock is in New Mexico - so is Chama.
When we were heading into Chama I passed a lifted white 60 series...must be a sign.
Those are trees in New Mexico - we only have shrubs here in AZ!
A little old lady in El Paso owns the property...bought in the 60's meaning to retire there - now she is in her 90's...we will see.
Hey Calamari - I had offers at about that - I turned them down - the best offer on the 60 was $10,000 - which is a reasonable offer....I would probably take $11,000! But now I am buying a Flex-a-lite radiator....
Any elk @ there? I have heard the name Chama tossed around the elk hunting circles. Some day I will own property that I can hunt on.
I have a picture of elk poo right on the property...
When I get home to my computer - I will be sure to post it!
Lots of elk -
The realty agent shot an ibex last year - not in Chama - but at least she is a hunter!
Wow! Sweet shot -
It was 109 when we were shooting pic's - the Cruiser was runnin 115
I used to live in Farmington, NM. I love that area. Durango, Purgatory, Tom Sawyer mine, Shiprock, ah the memories!
Just let me know when the ih8elk hunt is
My dad hunted on the res near chama for cow last year. They have some monster bulls but the price is pretty high. They have a sweet lodge too. I was going to go down to meet him and stay there but my hunting trip was the same week.
The property looks nice freightdog
Keep us posted!
That looks like some sweet property!
