Central locking and alarm woes (1 Viewer)

Hi all

So my 99 lx470 was bought with a super frustrating issue.

1. The doors lock when I turn the ignition off. I've tried the reprogramming procedure on here and it didn't work. I can't work out if this process works on my model or just on later models.

The central locking button on the key doesn't work. I've changed the battery.

When I lock the car (with the key) the alarm goes off when I open it (also with the key)

Any advice on how to trouble shoot this is appreciated.

have you gotten yourself a copy of Techstream yet? i think this is a feature you can turn off there
