One of my center AC vents whistles when the air is on high. Opening and closing the vent may change its tune a little, but does not solve it.
I'm pretty sure it's caused by the absents of a gasket that used to go around the perimeter of the butterfly valve/flap that closes off the air. It sort of disintegrated and I removed the rest by hand.
Anyone experience this? Did you come up with a fix?
