CEL went out - can you still pull the code? (1 Viewer)

CEL showed on the LX 450 for a couple days. I was going to take it to a parts store to have it scanned but it's off now. Bear with me here, can you determine what caused the CEL if the CEL is no longer on? Is there some sort of error log file the OBD can spit out?

Yes, it should store the code. Although I have had this happen on an OBDII vehicle and the code wasn't stored.

Take it to autozone (or any other major autoparts store) if you don't have a reader and they will check it for free.

Yeah mine went on and off, but the code was still there. I wonder if you have the famous P0401 code?
