the valley, yeah that one
just finishing up my CB450 build.

I bought it last July - It had been sitting, outside, since 1999. Hadn't been registered since 1980, and was generally ugly all over: 4" over forks, mini-apes, diamond tuck seat, LOTS of rust, broken/missing bits, etc... Basically a PERFECT cafe/hooligan candidate.

so, here's the before:

and here's the pretty much finished state (still a few things to sort out, but I'm riding it) :D

WOW!! I cant believe no one has commented on your bike!!! That thing is INCREDIBLE!!! Awesome job seeing the diamond in the rust. You have done an incredible job and the orange rims are schweeet! Its awesome seeing a project through like that. Sometimes it can be hard. Keep it up!

Thanks for the nice words.

I'm pretty happy with this one, MUCH faster than my last 450...

cheers.

Nice work on the "little dog".

Cheers all :)

I've been riding some and having fun. My AGM/gel battery doesn't like the stock charging system, so I'll be changing the stock mechanical regulator with a solid state regulator from one of the Chinese made scooters...I'm also going to look for some stiffer springs for the fork tubes...

then, as they say - "it's on!"

JeeZeus...I have to do this....

After seing your pics, and an ol wore out, unwanted Ascot over in ADV that got turned into a flat tracker...

I might just push needing another SM off...

Sweat, good job, man.

See if this helps....

haha, I have a good friend that used to flat track and we go to the vintage flat track races in Ventura when they happen. sounds like it could be a fun one to get into mischief with...

oh, and cheers on that link to the fork size list. I'm gonna try a heavier oil first and see how that goes before I tear the front end apart again.
