My only advice would be to not spend much on a CB. There is not much difference between the cheap ones and the good ones. I got some cheap Midlands for $11 each and they are as good as anything. The max power is 4 watts whether you spend $11 or $150.

In terms of what is readily available, the Uniden 510s set the standard of value per $. This is just my opinion, but I'll stand by it.

Spend some $$ on a good antenna. The Lil Wil discussed in another recent thread is great for the $, and if you want to spend some coin, the Wilson 5000 is about as good as it gets. Seriously, spend your money on the antenna!

Save your radio money for 2 meter (VHF Ham) radio. It puts CB to shame. Look in the Outfitting section.

Sooo.... it wasn't used much then, huh? :D

Walmart usually has the midland for around $35. Might have to check more than one store, though. Seems not all of the stores stock CBs.
