I know I have seen over on the 80s cool yahoo board a write up about using a couple pipe clamps hooked togeather to solve the problem. Well now I have the problem myself and cant find any info. Anyone got any easy fixes?

yeah just get the biggest hose clamps you can find and join them togehter and run them around the cat.......

 Take the cat off completely and throw it away.................oh yaa :flipoff2:

Fug, don't tell him that! Then the cats out of the bag.

Oh and for the record I've got 2 cats - one on either side of the fireplace

which cat is the usual suspect? or do you just band them all? (talking about the hairless ones under my cruiser.....)

Priceless.............. :D

Well......thats good cause I am not one of those fancy "rocked" scientist anywho. :)

The reason I asked which one is because I tapped on all of them and and any other heat shield I could find any nothing really sounded "loose". The rattle I get sounds like a heat shield but is only heard sometimes on quick starts.

Good to see you have a sense of humor :D . You'll only survive here if you do. :flipoff2:

That's for sure!

you're not post padding are you?

The problem is with the quick start. I only do a quick start if in a hurry, otherwise I let it crank for a good 2-3 minutes for a long start. :flipoff2:

A 'quick' start..versus what a 'long' start? WTF? :D

Is that how you relate to a quicky? :flipoff2:

You do realize that I could delete this................... :whoops:

Go ahead, see if you get that 4+ rear bumper with tire carrier. :)

Ok, I guess I have spell it out for ya and use it in a sentence..... :D

"I had to start out quickly at the stop light because the guy behind me was honking"

"quick start" ie punch it or "drop the hammer" if you are a Tom Cruise\Days of Thunder fan.

I thought I read somewhere in a thread that this board was suppose to be so well educated?
Or maybe that was the range rover site
